The Muses
R.O.S.E. is pleased to present this information about the 9 Muses. It is intended as a portal to personal experience and not an endpoint of textbook information. Almost everyone has heard of the 9 Muses and the reference is almost always that of mythology. The ancient myth tells us that the god Zeus lay with Mnemosyne ("Memory") for nine days, and she gave birth to the Muses, who rejoice in their bright dancing places on Mount Helicon -- "nine voices united in one song." Their companions are the Graces and Desire, and their leader is Apollo, the god of Music and Harmony.
"[The Muses] are all of one mind, their hearts are set upon song and their spirit is free from care. He is happy whom the Muses love. For though a man has sorrow and grief in his soul, yet when the servant of the Muses sings, at once he forgets his dark thoughts and remembers not his troubles. Such is the holy gift of the Muses to men."

If you are a Friend of Lazaris, then you know The Muses are alive and well and living among us to inspire and encourage us...much the same way as our Higher Self does...yet very differently.
If you have never considered The Muses...or if you have only thought them to be a child's fable...or some ladies who lived long ago...think again...expand your mind, mind's eye and your heart...open your interior Door Of Possibility and let The Muses touch you with Their truth and Their gifts.
Also, use your own Knowing process. The chart you see above reflects the ancient information as once written. Expand your thinking so as to realize the fuller and more appropriate meaning for our time and circumstance. Three different types of Poetry are mentioned on the chart: What do they each represent?
As you begin this thought process, The Muses will descend upon you with Their gifts in order to inspire you. The experience holds the potential for Great Magick.
Perhaps one Muse will speak to you with clear voice...perhaps a few. Listen and do not judge your worthiness or ability to receive the information.
Perhaps you will do a Meditation to travel with your Higher Self to The Temple Of The Muses. Your Higher Self surely knows the way.
Allow the experince...allow the Magick...allow the Fun...allow the Muses to enter your reality.
